Keto Beakfast

Once you have decided that you’re opting for a ketogenic diet, you have to keep a watchful eye on the consumption of macros every day. It doesn’t count calories surprisingly.

But that doesn’t mean you have to eat a boring kind of breakfast every day when you wake up in the morning. There are plenty of mouth-watering breakfast ideas that are delicious and packed with rich fats with lesser carbs. Let us have a look!

Eggs are undeniably healthy and delicious. These are considered the powerhouse of proteins and they can be fit nicely in your ketogenic breakfast routine. The greatest benefit of eating eggs when you are on a keto diet is that they have the least amount of carbohydrates, i-e. 0.6gm in a large egg. Other protein sources are somehow costly but eggs are on the cheaper side so they are always the better option. You can eat eggs in plenty of different ways, e.g. boiled, fried, poached, scrambled, or omelet along with leafy green veggies, mushrooms, avocados, sausages, bacon, or olives or you can make a delicious egg benedict quiche as well.

No Eggs:

If you are tired of the repetition of the same eggs and bacon daily or simply if you don’t like eggs then do not need to worry, there are hundreds of other breakfast ideas with no eggs. Smoked salmon is another great option paired with spinach or tomatoes. Beef tacos loaded with cheese can be another great option. Pancakes, waffle, keto bread, cakes, donuts, crepes or muffins are all the alternate options which are not only easy to prepare but also delicious.

Smoothies are a great source of consuming macros if you’re always on the go and don’t have enough time to prepare your breakfast. You can use spinach or kale along with lettuce, lemon, water, and a pinch of ginger to make a green smoothie. This smoothie is a rich source of fiber hence relieving bowel movements. Or you can also make a protein-rich smoothie by adding berries, nuts, greek yogurt, coconut milk, and protein powder. This power pack beverage will be the best kickstart of your day. The trick to make these drinks keto-friendly is to always use coconut milk or almond milk instead of cow’s milk for an extra boost of fat.
